About the programme, the trial, licences and buying.
The programme
Does it change my original files?
No. Everything you do lives in the session; the files you opened are read-only. Results are written as new files on export.
Which files can it open?
QPS FAU and QPD, the QINSy raw database, the PDS2000 log and PDS FAU, XTF, LAS/LAZ and text XYZ/CSV. The Formats page lists what each one allows.
What computer does it need?
Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit, 16 GB of memory for ordinary surveys (32 GB for tens of millions of soundings), any graphics adapter with current drivers.
Does it need internet?
No — neither to run nor to license. It was written to work on a vessel.
Trial and licence
How does the trial work?
Install the programme and press Start trial. You get 7 days with every function, once per computer, without an account.
How is the licence delivered?
As a signed licence file bound to your computer. Load it in Help › Licence. Nothing is checked online.
Can I move a licence to another computer?
Yes. Replacing a disk or reinstalling Windows does not break the licence; moving to a new computer is done through us.
Does it run in a virtual machine?
Yes, with a licence issued for a virtual machine. The trial does not start in a virtual machine.
Buying
Can my company pay by invoice?
Yes. Request a quote; we send an invoice and the licence agreement, and the licence once the payment arrives.
Is the database converter included?
No, it is a separate licence option, because not every team switches between QINSy and PDS.
